Touchstone Coffee Blog

Here we are, into the third month of operation at Touchstone Coffee & Tea House.  We are slowly, but surely rebuilding our customer base - as I have said before, everyday we see new faces, and are gaining a significant number of regulars.  THANK YOU SE Examiner and the Hollywood Star!  The SE Examiner brought in several customers.  I really appreciate the publicity. 

As you can see on the homepage, we have some improvements planned but need to raise a little money and increase our customer base to the point where I am at least paying my bills.  We are at that awkward stage of growth where I feel I need to add an employee and invest in changes I am planning in order to grow.  I feel really good about our potential, and believe our little coffee house will earn its keep within the year.

Oh joy what a place. I am new to the neighborhood, and one day I ran out of coffee. Thanks to "Just Out" I found you all. Your coffee is great, and your presence behind the counter gets me coming back almost everyday! Paige

Hey I have found my new best coffee place! Recently moved to the neighborhood and found the place after about 2 weeks of searhing for one! Thank goodness for "Just Out" advertising. So far I have been there almost everyday, and look forward to my mornings to pop in and get a great Latte or Espresso. All 3 women are awesome to chat with and they make great drinks! Hi Karen, I hope this note finds you doing well. I just found your website, and Touchstone pretty much seems like the coolest coffee place ever. I'm coming to Portland in June and I'm looking for a cafe to work at... and yours seems like perfection. I have 5 years of cafe-work experience, and many more of cafe-experiencing experience. I get along well with people, and I'm responsible, creative, and down to earth (among other things). I would love to work at Touchstone, but if you're not hiring I'll be by anyways to drink some tea and help you with your garden. Thank you for your time, I hope you have a happy day. I like the old Touchstones, but the new Touchstone love the new Touchstones. The personal is more friendly,the coffee is the best in PDX and I just love the spaces. Wendy
